The final brownstone / stucco coating is being applied to the facade with expected completion in a few weeks.
The work culminates a full facade renovation undertaken to correct a poorly conceived facade modernization done in the 1960's . The previous facade work effectively removed all the window and door details and destroyed the underlaying bricks.
Work has started on the rear yard extension to this home in the Brooklyn Academy of Music Historic District.
The design was approved by the NYC Landmarks Commission in mid-summer 2016.
Christopher Stienon conducted a training session on the new zoning prototype and form based code to City Planning officials at city hall in Gary, Indiana.
There are already studies underway to upgrade the train station. A temporary closure of Route 12 was proposed by the community to test the proposal and prepare for the eventual rerouting of this highway.
